DESCRIZIONE
It's 4:30 pm, as every afternoon my grandmother picks me up from school, but today we have to go home quickly because she has a cake in the oven.
When we arrive at home I smell an intense aroma of lemon, butter and vanilla.
My grandma let cool the cake a little more on the window and in the meaintime she prepares a hot tea flavored with mandarin, 'cause, che knows, it's one of my favourite.
Now the cake has cooled and I can discover its contents, like a present to be opened: cream and all'Arena are embraced in a unique way in my memory.
It's time to sit down at the table, it's time for "la merenda".
To make you relive my memory I tried to put all the aromas and flavors in the drink.
I used the Marendry for its unmistakable hints of 'amarena' and I added sweetness and memories with the vanilla syrup, all enhanced by citrus notes of lime and a special lemon gin. I wanted to add a further experience with a mandarin foam to bring back the taste of the tea I used to drink.
To get you the best on this path the best thing I could do is to serve this drink with a slice of the cake that my grandmother used to make.
